AM112  1
prototype Frua, 1966/7

In 1966, Pietro Frua drew this special body for the Maserati Mexico. Chassis AM112*001 was probably completed only after the beginning of series production in may 1967. It remained a time the ownership of the factory before being sold to its first owner Sig. Nello della Casa from Modena. It is by no means the first Mexico chassis , the chassis number was certainly assigned by the factory before the sale.
