En 1968, Pietro Frua réalisa cette seconde carrosserie spéciale pour la Maserati Mexico. Une nouvelle fois, le numéro de châssis AM112/1*003 fut très certainement attribué par l'usine au moment de la vente. Celle-ci fut vendue neuve à Barcelone en mars 1970 via l'importateur espagnol Auto-Paris.

In 1968, Pietro Frua drew this second special body for the Maserati Mexico. Once again, chassis AM112/1*003 was certainly assigned by the factory before the sale. This one was sold new to Barcelona via the spanish importer Auto-Paris.

March 1968, Blue Celeste/Rossa, completed by Pietro Frua Studio with the exception of not starting the engine and the still incomplete mechanics.

Believed to be displayed on the Frua stand at the 1968 Geneva Motor Show.

December 1969, Pietro Frua delivery to Maserati SpA, Modena/I.

March 1970, completed by Maserati SpA, Modena/I.

24.03.1970, sold new to its first owner in Barcelona/E via Auto-Paris SL (Spanish importer).

1974, for sale by Auto-Paris.

1975, new owner in Tarragona/E.

1978 - 1979, for sale by Auto-Paris, Campagnolo wheels and Quattroporte tail lights !

1980, sold to Hans Heinrich, Barcelona/E.

2005, located in Figueres/E.

2014, in restoration in Belgium.

04.09.2014, exhibited at Salon Privé Concours d'Elegance, London/UK.

07.09.2014, exhibited at Chantilly Concours d'Elegance, Chantilly/France.

21.09.2014, Best of Show at the Maserati Centennial Gathering, Turin/Italy.

February 2015, for sale via the Opus Collection, Belgium.

05.09.2015, sold via Bonhams for 621.000 euros inc. premium, Chantilly Concours d'Elegance/France.
