"This
is a rare and very desirable first series Maserati Mexico 4200 from
1969 with some believed to be genuine 76,000 KMs (47,500 Miles). As far
as we know this car was originally sold in Italy but brought by an
enthusiast to Sweden in the 1980s. In 2006 the car was imported into
The Netherlands when found by the last owner in the South of France
where the car drove since 2003. After being imported into The
Netherlands the car benefitted from a bare metal respray in and out,
but regretfully for none apparent reason at some places the paint shows
some flaws. The owner decided not to have this restored to respect its
authenticity and enjoy the car as a “driver” instead of a “museum
piece”. The car is equiped with a ZF five speed manual gearbox and
highly desirable ZF power steering option – which makes the car easy to
park and handle in slow traffic. The air conditioning is not activated.
The original jack and wirewheel spanner come with the car." |
